Indumati Tai

Widely known as Indumati Tai or InduTai

For Punarutthan Vidyapeeth, Indumati Tai is not only a founder in name—she is a source of light: a living flame of clarity, discipline, and devotion to knowledge, guiding the resurgence of Bharatiya Gyan Dhara.

Dr. Indumati Katdare — Indumati Tai

Dr. Indumati Katdare has devoted her life to restoring the glory of India through education. She began teaching English in 1971, then found her deeper calling at Vidya Bharti. As one of its chief functionaries, she helped establish the Shishu Vatika system across the country—bringing early education into harmony with culture, home, and the dignity of the child.

She was instrumental in developing women leaders and in affirming parents as the first teachers—reminding the nation that the home is the first school, and that the shaping of a child begins long before the classroom.

In 2004, on the sacred occasion of Vyas Purnima, she set up the Punarutthan Trust. From that seed grew Punarutthan Vidyapeeth—an India-centric center where knowledge is revered, restored, and made the foundation of national life. Her vision continues to illuminate the path of Abhyudaya and Nishreyas for seekers and providers of knowledge alike.
